Third Annual Vancouver Wood Paddle Classic

No paddle drama. No partner to blame. No excuses. Every player competes under the same conditions. Play until one is left standing. The purest pickleball competition you’ll ever experience.

It’s the late 1960s. Pickleball has just been invented. A series of small competitions have been created to settle the region’s best wood paddle player.

Win and move towards championship court. Lose and move into a free flowing team Jamboree. By day’s end, those left standing on championship court will play a match using one of the world’s last remaining Cosum Fun Balls—a relic from pickleball’s history.

The winner will be showered with glory. Prizes will also be awarded for pickleball style that best embodies the game’s early days. (Interpret this however you want).

And a grand prize to whoever shows up with the most wondrously crafted wood paddle.

Bring your own wood paddle—any era. Make your own wood paddle. You can also rent a wooden paddle for the evening. After the games, the upstairs lounge will be open for canapés and shandies.
