PICKLEBALL JAMBOREE SPIRIT AND STYLE

Remember to fill out the SPIRIT and STYLE awards ballot before your final match. (This ballot is also your entry for a prize.)

Our goal with Jamboree is to build and blend formats to create a memorable team event that maximizes the amount of rallies with other combinations of players as close to your skill level as possible. We want you to have fun playing the best pickleball you can, while also expressing your inner creativity in a supportive space. In such conditions, we bloom.

The Spirit and Style awards are a player vote.

Some advice: make sure the other teams know who you are.

We salute legends from previous Jamborees: The Three Amigos. The Barbies. Three’s Company. Thunderstruck. 3AM (a team which arrives in persona and gives tiny gifts to each of their opponents).

In each Jamboree, we will have a phenomenal range of ages, cultures, athletic pedigrees, and truly unique characters, coordinating colours, costumes, chants, and on court tactics.

Spirit is not necessarily the loudest, smiliest person in the gym. Spirit might be the player who quietly shows grace with their eyes at certain moment in a match, the one who just has a way of supporting their teammates and opponents. Spirit is the player who begins nervously, but finds courage in the competition. Spirit inspires us. Spirit pulls the reluctant ones into battle.

When voting for spirit and style, don’t just consider the best dressed and consistently themed team, consider the teams that competed hard, but showed you how to have fun both on and off the court.

Spirit doesn’t “celebrate” another team’s unforced errors. Instead, it cheers a teammates’ strong rallies. And just as importantly, acknowledge a well constructed point from the other team.
